Account Opening and Maintaining

Appropriate IDs should be presented by those individuals who intend to open, modify or close their bank accounts.

Resident owners of bank accounts should submit original documents and/or copies in an official language of the Republic of Belarus.

Non-resident owners of bank accounts should submit original documents and/or copies issued, executed and/or duly certified and apostilled by the competent authorities of foreign states in accordance with applicable legislation of such states, unless otherwise specified in international treaties of the Republic of Belarus.

If non-resident owners of bank accounts submit original documents and/or copies in a foreign language, a certified translation into an official language of the Republic of Belarus shall be provided.

If opening procedures for a bank account or transactions on such account are performed in accordance with the power of attorney issued by one person to another person, a relevant power of attorney shall be provided to the bank.

Private customers are entitled to open current, charity, card accounts, temporary accounts for the generation of authorized capital of a legal entity, as well as deposit accounts in BYR and foreign currency.
